GIRLS BASKETBALL: Holly downs Swartz Creek; Linden drops Brandon
SWARTZ CREEK — Holly continued one of its best starts in school history, downing Swartz Creek, 39-30, in Flint Metro League girls basketball action Friday.
Allyssa Copley had 17 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and five blocks for Holly (11-2, 9-1). Kristen Smith added 10 points for the Bronchos, who remained in second place in the league, one game behind Clio.
LINDEN 59, ORTONVILLE BRANDON 28: Kelsey Brecht scored 13 points, as Linden recorded the FML Road win Friday.
Katelyn Hendershott scored 15 points for Brandon (5-7, 4-6).
NORTH FARMINGTON 51, PONTIAC 41: Bri’Janae Durrough scored 21 points to lead North Farmington to the OAA Red Division win.
Amanda Miller scored 12 points for Pontiac (4-8, 1-6).
BLOOMFIELD HILLS ANDOVER 66, LAKE ORION 35: The visiting Dragons ventured into the Green House and walked away with a 31-point OAA White Division victory Friday.
Shannon Wilson scored 20 points for Andover (10-3, 7-3).
Delaney Haan scored nine points for Lake Orion (2-11, 2-9), which lost for the sixth straight game.
