GIRLS LACROSSE: Troy Athens rolls past Ann Arbor Huron
TROY — Despite the frigid temperatures, Troy Athens found its hot stick in girls lacrosse Monday night, rolling over visiting Ann Arbor Huron, 10-6, in the season opener for both teams.
Alivia Baker made nine saves on the night and held Huron to only one goal in the second half. Huron led 5-2 at the half.
Athens was paced by Jill Dougherty, who recorded five goals with an assist for the Red Hawks. Morgan Bommarito followed with two goals and four assists for Athens.
