ROCHESTER HILLS — Senior right-hander Nick Bradley shut Auburn Hills Avondale down and the Falcons picked up a 4-0 shutout over Auburn Hills Avondale in the OAA Red Division baseball opener for both teams.

Rochester scored three runs in the first and tacked on another in the top of the six in a game played at Oakland University.

Bradley scattered just two hits against a normally potent Yellowjackets batting order. He struck out seven over five innings of work, while Chris Saber pitched two shutout innings of relief.

Bradley also helped his own cause by going 2-for-3 with an RBI and scored a run. Shane Sullivan was 1-for-3 with a double.

Junior lefty A.J. Susick suffered the loss for Avondale (6-3, 0-1), striking out three, walking five and giving up six hits in six innings of work.
