THURSDAY’S BOYS SOCCER ROUNDUP: Adams, Athens, Stoney Creek pick up wins

ROCHESTER HILLS — Rochester Adams scored three goals in each half Thursday to upend visiting Waterford Kettering 6-0 in a non-league boys soccer match.

Evan Skiff and Jacob Cvengros each scored twice for Adams (2-3-0). Patrick Spike and Brian Kane also scored and Grant Gibson picked up four saves for the shutout for the Highlanders.

TROY ATHENS 2, PLYMOUTH SALEM 1: Max Klitzke scored his second game winning goal of the week inside three minutes to play Thursday in aiding the Red Hawks’ non-league win.

Klitzke scored both goals on the night for Athens (41-0).Brett Schmitz made 10 saves in a winning effort, as Salem held a shots edge in the contest. Aaron Gebaur and Luis Anaya had the assists for the Red Hawks.

ROCHESTER STONEY CREEK 3, CLARKSTON 1: Scott Alampi, Jack Lucci and Drew Shea scored goals for Stoney Creek in this OAA Red Division win.

Alex Timm had the lone goal for Clarkston (4-3-0, 1-1-0).

TROY 6, WATERFORD MOTT 1: Ben Holland recorded five saves in the win and Mitch Guitar finished with two goals and an assists for Troy (6-0-1).

Tom Carlson added a goal and an assists, while Josh Josh Broadbine, Danny Burger and Ian Fox also scored for the Colts.

C.J. White staked Mott (1-5-0) to an early 1-0 lead and Todd Bonnivier made 10 saves in a losing effort.

ROCHESTER HILLS CHRISTIAN 4, LAKE ORION BAPTIST 1: The Eagles continued their fast start with this FBAC victory Tuesday.

Junior Jesse Montgomery scored three goals with an assist and Aaron Berry followed with a goal and an assist for the Eagles. Jared Brown made six saves between the pipes for RHC (5-0-0).

Ben Case scored for Lake Orion Baptist (1-3-0, 0-2).
