GIRLS BASKETBALL: Everest Collegiate thumps Jewish Academy
CLARKSTON — Lucia Westrick scored a game-high 19 points, almost as much as the opposition, and Clarkston Everest Collegiate thumped visiting West Bloomfield Jewish Academy 57-21 in a CHSL Intersectional Division girls basketball contest Wednesday.
Angelina Mastromatteo added 11 points and Claire Lasceski followed with eight points for the Montaineers (5-3).
Everest rolled out to an 11-2 lead after the first quarter and used a 2-16 second-quarter run to build a commanding 32-8 lead at the break.
The Mountaineers used a 14-2 surge in the third stanza up the lead to 46-10 to tuck the game away.
Shelly Williams scored nine for Jewish Academy.
