GIRLS BASKETBALL: Adams outlasts Oxford in overtime

OXFORD Rochester Adams outscored Oxford 4-2 in overtime Tuesday and pulled out a thrilling 35-33 OAA White Division girls basketball victory over host Oxford Tuesday.

Adams outscored Oxford 9-6 in the fourth quarter, but Oxford’s Samantha Medici drilled a three-pointer at the buzzer that tied the game at 31-31 and forced overtime.

Oxford led 22-18 at the half, while Adams closed to within 23-22 through three quarters of play.

Olivia Argeros scored 10 points and Amber Jamison added nine points and 10 rebounds to pace Adams (9-0, 5-0).

Medici led Oxford (7-3, 2-3) with a game-high 18 points.

ROCHESTER STONEY CREEK 50, TROY 25: Stoney Creek outscored Troy 30-9 in the second half and pull away for an OAA crossover win Tuesday. Lauren Voss scored 16 and Maria Zandi added 11 points for Stoney Creek, which led 20-16 at the half. Rachel Greckly scored seven for Troy.

FLINT CARMAN-AINSWORTH 47, CLARKSTON 39: Candace Smith scored 15 for Carman-Ainsworth in Tuesday’s non-league win. The Cavaliers led 26-18 at the half. Erika Davenport scored 26 for Clarkston.
