BOWLING: Oxford sweeps Troy Athens
TROY — Oxford owned Troy Athens Monday night at Troy Lanes in OAA Red Division bowling action.
The Wildcats girls knocked down the Red Hawks 29-1, while the Oxford boys downed Athens 24-6.
Sophomore Hannah Farmer posted games of 202 and 188 to lead Oxford (3-2, 3-2). Freshmen Megan Kessler bowled solid with games of 172 and 173 and junior Alyssa Hurlburt chipped in with a 196 on the afternoon.
In the boys meet, senior Brandon Hurlburt led the way with games of 232 and 256. Sean McKinney (205), Brady Wynkoop (227) and Jason Petty (214) also had solid games for the Wildcats.
Oxford now has a stretch of home matches starting Thursday against Bloomfield Hills Unified. The Wildcats bowl their next 5 matches at Collier Lanes in Oxford.
