GIRLS VOLLEYBALL DISTRICTS: Waterford Lakes, Clarkston roll to sweeps
CLARKSTON — It was some quick duty Tuesday for Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes’ volleyball team.
The Lakers rolled past Warren Macomb Christian in three sets 3-0 in a Class D district opener at Clarkston Everest Collegiate. The Lakers posted a 25-7, 25-8, 25-8 triumph and finished up the win in under an hour.
Allison Samulon had 12 aces and two kills to pace WOLL (34-7-4). Kelly Meehan added six aces and Devon Valent slammed eight kills with four aces for the Lakers.
CLASS A
CLARKSTON 25-25-25, ROCHESTER ADAMS 13-8-13: Clarkston opened up postseason play with this sweep of the Highlanders Tuesday at Romeo. Brianna Frakes had 22 assists and served up five aces with to pace the Wolves. Rachel Dickerson slammed 10 kills and Emily Popp provided 17 digs defensively as Clarkston improved to 50-6-1 overall.
