The good news is that a lot of that team is back, meaning the Lancers will be competitive once again. Oakland Christian qualified for the state finals in all four relays last season, the first time that has happened in program history.

NOTES: The Wolves lost to Rochester by eight points last week, but that came without the services of two key sprinters-hurdlers. This team, with 83 athletes, should contend for a league and regional championship as well as finish high at the county meet with great balance and ample big-meet experience. Over two-thirds of the point scorers are back, and the Wolves qualified in all four relays last season with most of those legs back.

This team will still be dangerous and a threat, if healthy, to win the league meet come late May with its depth and balance. Watch for this team to be among the leaders come regional weekend as well. There are 60 athletes on the team a large host of freshmen prospects that should blend in by season’s end.
Lake Orion

NOTES: Nearly a dozen clutch point scorers graduated from a team that dominated en route to two straight top-five state meet finishes. There are plenty of question marks, but some decent holdovers that will at least keep the Highlanders competitive in certain events. Adams should come back down to the rest of the pack this season after sweeping league, regional and county titles last season.

NOTES: With 52 athletes on the team, numbers are up drastically by 15 at Athens and the Red Hawks should fare better in just about every meet. There is a large and promising freshman contingent that hopes to fill some holes and help this team climb out of the doldrums after a few thin seasons.
