Farmington rallies past Oxford; Harrison blanks Stoney Creek
OXFORD — Farmington showcased some flair for the dramatic Friday night.
The Falcons scored with 46 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to hand Oxford its first loss of the season, 32-31, in OAA White Division play.
Trailing 31-24 inside the final minute, Bryan Green scored on a 5-yard run and Connor Mohr hauled in the two-point conversion pass from Chris Morgan for the game-winning points for Farmington (2-1, 1-1).
Oxford’s Prescott Line finished with four rushing touchdowns, giving him 14 on the year, and his last came with 2:50 left to put the Wildcats (2-1, 1-1) up by seven at 31-24. Oxford could not sustain the momentum and lead.
Farmington led 24-7 at the half. Jordan Degreffenreed and Morgan had touchdown runs of 4 and 1 yards to push Farmington ahead, 14-7. Green returned a kickoff 98 yards for paydirt, while Andy Hills drilled a 45-yard field goal in the first half for the Falcons.
