NOTABLES: Avondale moved up to the OAA-White last season and garnered a sixth-place finish with a young team. Advancement up the charts this season will hinge on development of a roster of a mixture of new and old.

LEAGUE TOURNAMENT FINISH: Tied for third at OAA White Division league tournament (45 points); fourth overall (9.5 points).

NOTABLES: Clarkston was a respectable squad last season, finishing in the middle of the pack in the OAA-White and seventh at a loaded Rochester regional. The Wolves, like many local teams, must replace more than half of their lineup, and could battle through a rebuilding campaign.
Holly
HEAD COACH: Will Sophiea, seventh season.

KEY LOSES: Sam Caldwell (No. 2 singles); Connor Knudson (No. 4 doubles).
NOTABLES: Holly tied Brandon in a dual match but ended up claiming its 19th straight league title with a win at the conference tournament. The Bronchos only graduated two of its top 12 players and are favored to win this season. Holly could also be a team that could make a dent at the D-2 state finals if it qualifies again and is built for the future with only two seniors in its top 14 players this season. Holly is already 3-0-0 in league play and finished 3-0-0 at th recent Okemos Quad with featured state-qualifying teams from last year in North Farmington, Rochester Stoney Creek and Okemos.
Lake Orion

(played No. 2 doubles last season; not playing this season to concentrate on baseball); Nick Ludwig (No. 1 singles); Arthur Pawlikowski (No. 2 singles); Brenden MacDonald (No. 3 singles); Tyler Jackson (No. 2 doubles); Evan Pavlik (No. 4 doubles); Griffin Bessette (No. 4 doubles).
NOTABLES: The Dragons return 8 of 16 players this season but suffered a loss when one of their top players opted not to play and to concentrate on baseball. This team could be wild card in the OAA-White Division if the Dragons can gel in a hurry. They could move up a few slots in the league.
Ortonville Brandon
HEAD COACH: Debbie Sebetic
2011 RECORD: 7-1-1, 6-0-1 Flint Metro League.
LEAGUE TOURNAMENT FINISH: Second at FML Tournament (51 points); second in final league standings.
REGIONAL FINISH: Fourth at Division 2 Holly regional (12 points).
STATE FINALS FINISH: Did not qualify as team; finished 22nd at D-2 finals (one point) on play of Navarre at No. 1 singles.
SINGLES LINEUP: Spencer Navarre, sr. (No. 1 singles; League MVP); McKenzie Walsh, sr. (No. 2 singles); Nick Skinsacos, sr. (No. 3)
DOUBLES LINEUP: Doubles lineup is still being juggled.
NOTABLES: The Blackhawks will have one of the better 1-2 punches in the area in Navarre and Walsh at the top two singles flights. After finishing second in the FML last season and fourth in the regional, is there enough talent to make a push for another top-two league finish and a state finals berth?
Oxford
NOTABLES: This is a first year club team with only a small handful of numbers. The Wildcats will need to build this program up enough for a full roster before going varsity status in a couple of years.
Pontiac
NOTABLES: No information submitted.
‘
Pontiac Notre Dame Prep
HEAD COACH: Peter Riley.
2011 RECORD: 5-4-0, 2-2-0 CHSL-AA Division (third in division).
LEAGUE TOURNAMENT FINISH: Seventh at CHSL-AB league finals.
REGIONAL FINISH: Fourth at Division 3 Almont regional.
STATE FINALS FINISH: Did not qualify.
SINGLES LINEUP: Mike Amici, jr. (No. 1; played in Italy last season as exchange student); Tyler Jackson, jr. (No. 2); Brett Boyer, sr. (No. 3); Bobby Joseph, soph. (No. 4).
DOUBLES LINEUP: Jesse Lopez, sr. (No. 1); Patrick Mulrenin, sr. (No. 1); Rob Molnar, jr. (No. 2); John Potwardowski, jr. (No. 2); Ryan Connors, fr. (No. 3); Shawn Potwardowski, fr. (No. 3); Clark Meek, fr. (No. 4); Nick Raggio, fr. (No. 4); Jeff Bullard, sr.; Grant Dewey, fr.; Eric Leen, sr., Peter Lucido, sr.
KEY LOSES: Chad Barnhart (No. 1 singles);
NOTABLES: Although the Irish lost its No.1 singles player to graduation, the team picked up a former player that spent last school year in Italy and will now play No. 1 singles. With six of the top eight players back from last season, this team could very well contend for top honors in the CHSL-AA Division and make an honest effort of reaching the Division 3 state finals. This is a young team as three of the six seniors are exhibition players and not in the top 12.There are five freshmen on the varsity roster.
Rochester
HEAD COACH: Jerry Murphy, 39th season.
2011 RECORD: 5-4-0, 4-2-0 OAA White Division.
LEAGUE TOURNAMENT FINISH: Tied for third at OAA White Division Tournament (45 points); third overall in final standings 95 points).
REGIONAL FINISH: Fourth at Division 1 Rochester regional (nine points).
STATE FINALS FINISH: Did not qualify.
SINGLES LINEUP: Torre Rocco, jr. (No. 1); Collin Periozich, jr. (No. 2); Mike Sepeta, jr. (No. 3); Dillan Solanski, soph. (No. 4).
DOUBLES LINEUP: Axl Patalinghug, jr. (No. 1); Scott Schlagel, sr. (No. 1); Matt Beckstrom, sr. (No. 2); Luke Erunson, soph. (No. 2); Ryan Wu, jr. (No. 3); Sathya Narayanan, jr. (No. 3); Alex Koitman, jr. (No. 4) Matt Randall, jr. (No. 4); Anath Ramaseshan, jr. (No. 5); Frank Corsetti, jr. (No. 5).
KEY LOSES: Vishal Modi (No. 1 singles); Jason Manns (No. 2 singles) Wilson Wong (No. 3 doubles); Ani Mayasandra, sr. (No. 4 singles); Luke Brunson, jr. (No. 1 doubles); Neil Heberer, sr. (No. 2 doubles).
NOTABLES: Featuring a team with only five seniors last season, the Falcons still managed to finish third in the league and fourth at a deep regional behind three senior/junior heavy teams. Could the Falcons be a sleeper pick to contend in the league this season?
Rochester Adams
HEAD COACH: Al Must, 30th season
2011 RECORD: 13-2, 5-2 OAA Red Division
LEAGUE TOURNAMENT FINISH: Fourth at league tournament; fourth overall
REGIONAL FINISH: Second at Rochester regional.
STATE FINALS FINISH: eighth at Division 1 state finals
SINGLES LINEUP: Justin Hyman, soph. (All-State Honorable Mention last season; top-10 prospect in all of Michigan; League champ at No. 2 singles last season); Charles Xu, jr. (No.2 singles); Rahual Jain, sr. (No. 3 singles); Eric Chuang, jr. (No. 4 singles).
DOUBLES LINEUP: Zhibin Deng, sr. (No. 1); Matt Lilly, soph. (No. 1); Neal Chitin, sr. (returnee); Silvester Jang, soph. (returnee); Josh Lee, sr. (returnee); Ashish Tripali, soph. (returnee); Dan Carniac, jr. (new); Rishi Mehta, jr. (new); Michael Im, sr. (new); Steven Duam, sr. (new).
KEY LOSES: Graduated five players, including Kristoff Saari (No. 1 singles; All-State First Team); Jujun Lee (No. 1 doubles); Stephen Wang (No. 1 doubles);
NOTABLES: The Highlanders have consistently been one of the area’s most dominant teams in the past decade. This year Adams has several first-year varsity players or players playing in a new flight. A 3-0-0 start is promising, but the Highlanders will soon collide in the OAA Red Division against some of the state’s very best. There is plenty of potential here and a possible state qualifying benchmark could be in the works. This could also be a rebuilding year, even within the conference. Time will tell.
Rochester Stoney Creek
HEAD COACH: Heather Redshaw.
2011 RECORD: 3-6-0, 1-6-0 OAA Red Division
LEAGUE TOURNAMENT FINISH: Seventh at OAA Red Division tournament (27 points); seventh in final standings (four points).
REGIONAL FINISH: Third at Division 1 Rochester regional (21 points).
STATE FINALS FINISH: 15th at Division 1 state finals (three points).
SINGLES LINEUP: Nick Fiaschetti, sr. (No. 1;All-State First Team; All-Area First Team; 20-6; lost in state quarterfinals); Vlad Olten, fr. (No. 2); Ben Li, jr. (No. 3); Shyam Sudheera, sr. (No. 4).
DOUBLES LINEUP: Jake Kruk, sr. (No. 1). Chris Stanburg, jr. (No. 1); Gonzalo Pugnaire, jr. (No. 2); Josh Li, jr. (No. 2); Paul Seyferth, jr. (No. 3); Nick Kuntzman, jr. (No. 3); Massimo Polcyn, jr. (No. 4); Kevin Ruprich, jr. (No. 4); Zack Stone, soph. (No. 5); Brandon Meharg, soph. (No. 5).
KEY LOSES: John Seyferth,(No. 1 doubles); Josh Lee, (No. 1 doubles).
NOTABLES: Two years ago the Cougars won the OAA White Division. Last season they were promoted to the OAA Red Division and finished seventh but the strength of schedule helped them finish third at the regional and advance to the D-1 state finals as an at-large team. There is still some carryovers from that team and several new players in the doubles lineup that hope to keep the cougars in the running for a state finals pass come mid-October.
Troy
HEAD COACH: Brian Miska, first season.
2011 RECORD: 7-1-1, 6-0-1 OAA Red Division.
LEAGUE TOURNAMENT FINISH: Second at OAA red Division league tournament (51 points); first overall in final league standings (14.5 points).
REGIONAL FINISH: Second at Division 1 Grosse Pointe South regional (24 points). STATE FINALS FINISH: 11th at Division 1 state finals (10 points).
SINGLES LINEUP: Brett Forman, sr. (No. 1 singles; state champ in 2010; injured most of last season); Ginai Reddy, jr. (No. 2); Michael Faber, jr. (No. 3); Tarun Kalyaraman, soph. (No. 4).
DOUBLES LINEUP: Saumil Shah, sr. (No. 1); Pramode Mulbugula, jr. (No. 1); Connor Dubay, jr. (No. 2); Alex Balt, jr. (No. 2); Mandu Prahbu, jr. (No. 3); Andrae Ingram, jr. (No. 3); Sachin Ketkar, jr. (No. 4); Kevin Fietsam, jr. (No. 4); Vince Thieu, jr. (No. 5); Adi Das, jr. (No. 5).
KEY LOSES: Noah Rice (No. 1 singles); Vinai Reddy (No. 2); Sanjay Devireddy (No. 3 singles); Matt Kuntzmann (No. 1 doubles); Kento Mizusaki (No. 1 doubles); Mike Kuntzmann (No. 2 doubles); James Hiechel (No. 2 doubles); Nick Fave (No. 3 doubles); Mike Mendola (No. 3 doubles).
NOTABLES: With Brett Forman injured last season, the Colts went from being a state title contender to finishing 11th at the state finals. Even without him, Troy still won the OAA Red Division and finished second at the regional. The Colts bring back Foreman from injury but have infused a new head coach and several first-year varsity players into the lineup. A total of 10 players from last year’s roster have departed, leaving multiple question marks.
Troy Athens
HEAD COACH: Eric Shipp, eighth season.
2011 RECORD: 7-2-0, 5-1-0 OAA White Division
LEAGUE TOURNAMENT FINISH: Second at OAA White Division tournament (48 points); second in final league standings (12 points).
REGIONAL FINISH: Third at Division 1 Grosse Pointe South regional (17 points).
STATE FINALS FINISH: Did not qualify as team; 17th (two points) on performance of Zhang at No. 1 singles).
SINGLES LINEUP: Richard Zhang, jr. (No. 1; 25-9; All-State First Team; Round of 16 at state finals); Eric Flewelling, sr. (No. 2); Jason Potter, soph. (No. 3); Sheevan Naik, sr. (No. 4).
DOUBLES LINEUP: Phillip Ma, sr.; Aditiya Yelemanchi, jr.; James Jia, sr; (doubles lineup still in flex).

NOTABLES: Athens missed the state finals as a team by just a point, the second time in four years that has happened;
